Job description

We are looking for a Tax - Trainee Accountant to join our team in Winchester. This will be a fantastic starting role for someone looking for a career in Tax and Accountancy.

You will mainly be working in the Personal Tax/Accounts/Corporation Tax Team here at SC Tax.

We will offer valuable Accounting/Tax experience whilst working towards recognised Accounting/Tax qualifications of ACCA or ATT/CTA Tax Pathway.

Key Responsibilities:

To support in preparing accounts & Tax Returns for our clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies up to review stage. To communicate regularly with clients/HMRC via phone, email and in person, including chasing records. To complete, review and prepare book-keeping and VAT returns where required. Management of client administration and records. Bookkeeping. CIS, R&D, managing client emails, payroll, etc. To manage and maintain your professional development and learning. To carry out relevant CPD required by your professional body

Desired skills

Good communication skills with internal and external clients Be able to work on their own and show signs of initiative Good IT skills including Microsoft packages

Desired qualifications

A Levels - with at least a grade B/6 in maths and English Accounting qualification preferable Degree would be preferable

Pay: Starting from 12.21 per hour

Schedule:

Monday to Friday First 4 months is 37 hours per week 9:30 - 5:30
