Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Trainee Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and presentation, with the ability to create delicious and visually appealing dishes. As a Chef, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of food quality and safety while ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assemble ingredients and ensure all necessary tools and equipment are available for food preparation. Utilise both hand tools and power tools safely in the kitchen environment. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during service times. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling techniques. Contribute to menu planning and development by providing creative input based on seasonal ingredients.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a professional kitchen environment. Strong mechanical knowledge related to kitchen equipment operation and maintenance. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. A passion for cooking with an understanding of various culinary techniques and cuisines. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Previous experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous but not essential.

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
