Pre-School Nursery Apprentice - Term-Time Only - Start: January 2026

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our family-run outstanding team.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised childcare qualification. No prior experience is required, just a passion for working with young children and a willingness to learn.

Come and join our amazing team, working at one of our three Pre-Schools, all based in Old Woking.

Responsibilities:

- Attend college/training provider sessions and complete assignments on time.

- Work alongside experienced staff to develop practical skills in early years childcare.

- Support the care and education of young children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

- Assist with creating and implementing activities that meet the individual needs and interests of the children.

- Help maintain records of children's development and learning under the guidance of senior staff.

- Work as part of a supportive team to provide a high-quality learning environment.

- Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents and carers.

- Follow nursery policies and procedures to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas.

- Support children with additional needs to help them reach their full potential.

- Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and cleanliness at all times.

- Assist with meal and snack preparation, ensuring mealtimes are a pleasant and social experience.

- Ensure any accidents or incidents are recorded correctly and communicated to parents.

- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

General Duties:

- Contribute to good standards of safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the nursery.

- Carry out duties in compliance with the nursery's equal opportunities policy.

- Work across all nursery rooms as part of training and development.

- Respect the confidentiality of all information received.

- Develop and maintain strong communication with staff and parents.

- Be aware of emergency and fire evacuation procedures.

- Comply with health and safety regulations.
