About the role


Are you ready to start a rewarding career in civil engineering and construction supervision? Join Balfour Beatty's Regional Civils team as a Trainee Civils Supervisor on our A22 highways improvement project in East Sussex, and take your first steps toward becoming a future leader in infrastructure delivery.

As a Civils Trainee Supervisor, you'll work alongside experienced site teams and mentors to learn the fundamentals of site supervision in a live project environment. You'll gain hands-on experience across multiple aspects of civil works including groundworks, drainage, structures, and road construction.

We will fully support your development, including providing CSCS and SSSTS certification, on-the-job training, and clear career progression pathways.
What you'll be doing


As a Trainee Civils Supervisor you will:Assisting with daily site supervision and coordination of works Supporting the site management team with planning and safety compliance Monitoring site progress and reporting to supervisors and engineers Learning to read and understand technical drawings and specifications Promoting a positive health, safety, and environmental culture on site.


Who we're looking for


You will have the following:

A construction or Trade background
Have genuine interest in civil engineering or construction
A strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and a positive attitude
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to work outdoors in a hands-on environment.
