As a Trainee Commercial Fleet Underwriter, you'll receive training and development daily. You'll also be dealing with brokers, providing excellent service, and working to demanding targets. Along with your natural ability to build relationships and deal comfortably and confidently with people over the phone, you'll have the opportunity to gain a good understanding of the team, what it does and where it sits within the wider AXA business.

What you'll be doing:

Underwrite business profitability, accurately and in line with established Underwriting practices. Develop broker relationships to enhance their knowledge of our products and appetite. Take pride in the service you offer. Provide administration support to the wider team.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team, and our customers. After an initial induction period of approximately 6 months where the majority of your time will be in the office, you'll work at least 60% of your week away from home, either at our office in Southampton or Reading, visiting clients or attending industry events.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.


This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
