With the continued growth of international trade, we are expanding our team in Dover and are looking for an enthusiastic individual to train as a Customs Declarant.

The Role

As a

Trainee Customs Declarant

, you will learn how to process and manage customs declarations on behalf of our clients. Working closely with our experienced team, you will gain hands-on knowledge of customs systems, UK regulations, and the critical role we play in international trade compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing and submitting accurate customs declarations. Learn to validate classification of goods using the UK Trade Tariff. Ensure entries comply with HMRC and other regulatory requirements. Communicate with clients to gather required information and documentation. Support colleagues in resolving queries and maintaining accurate records.

What We're Looking For:

Keen eye for detail and strong accuracy in data entry. Good communication skills and professional telephone/email manner. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. Confident IT user with good numeracy skills. Eager to learn, with an interest in international trade and compliance. No prior customs experience is required - full training will be provided.
