At Girvan Dental Practice, we are a hard-working, ambitious team in a growing 4-surgery spacious practice, located in Girvan. We are looking for a dedicated, hard-working dental nurse to join our team on a full-time basis with a vision to provide five-star dental care to both private and NHS patients.

Our team is committed to providing a full range of NHS and private dental treatments. We offer a variety of general and cosmetic dentistry. Strong patient care values are required along with the ability to be flexible and adapt to our increasing patient base.

There is no such thing as a boring day at our practice as you will have the opportunity to work with a range of patients on different cases. Our dental team is constantly looking for ways to improve their skills, and you will have the opportunity to grow with us.

We will register the ideal candidate for a Dental Nurse course however we will also consider candidates who may already be registered for a Dental nurse apprentice position. We are also open to candidates who are GDC registered and have a previous work experience as a Dental Nurse. The position involves in-practice training alongside formal course work leading towards a qualification in Level 3 SVQ in dental nursing.

Applicants must possess the following skills:

Excellent organizational skills Be a team player with a willingness to learn Be comfortable using computer systems with ease Able to clean areas thoroughly and keep areas tidy and develop a good understanding of the importance of excellent infection control Have a friendly character, be well presented, have excellent communication skills both in-person and over the phone, and the ability to work on your own initiative Be willing to travel to our sister practice in Ayr for cross training as and when required
# No previous dental experience is required for apprentice nurses as you will be given full training and mentoring.
