Dental Nurse .We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual who wants to join our very friendly, dental team in a busy NHS dental Practice
We provide- in house training, practical work base role , and time to complete your online training ( with a nominated and accredited training provider )to train you for your role, and enable you to gain NVQ level 3 Diploma in Dental nursing.
A dental nurse works within the dental treatment rooms assisting the Dentist/ Dental Therapist/Hygienist within a variety of dental procedures, ultimately making sure the patient care , and experience is at its best.
Being an Apprentice means you will be learning new skills within treatment rooms/Reception/office -learning from, and shadowing our friendly qualified staff .You will learn on the job, whilst learning your theory of the role, by spending designated study time, (taking part in online tutoring), delivered by an accredited apprenticeship training.
As an Apprentice Dental Nurse you learn everything including:
Keeping the treatment rooms immaculately clean and tidy ,and managing infection control with precise detail.
Robust infection prevention and control procedures, in line with government advice that must be adhered to.
Greeting the patients, making sure they are comfortable .
Making sure the Dental team has the correct instruments/materials prepared ,ahead of the patients' appointment
Charting and collating dental information during the appointment. Throughout your role, it's really critical that patient care and confidentiality are your top priorities.
Mixing specialist dental material - for the restoration of the tooth surfaces.
Understanding how a dentist performs ,and how you can best drive efficiency and help the daily performance of the practice
Desired skills
The successful candidate must be reliable, organised, with good communication skills, computer literate, and keen to learn
You must always be of a smart professional appearance.
Personal qualities
You will have a calm, confident and reassuring manner and the ability to relate well to people, including children and those with additional needs
You will have a positive and flexible approach to work
Experience is not necessary; however, we are looking for ambitious, hard-working and committed individual to the workplace and their training .
Required qualifications
The right candidate will have as a minimum GCSE Grade 4 or above ,in Maths and English.
Job Types: Full-time Monday to Friday .Apprenticeship Salary: From 7.55 per hour
