Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Provide excellent patient care by ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and medical histories, using IT systems effectively.
Sterilise instruments and maintain a clean and organised clinical environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote better dental health.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Manage appointment schedules and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certification or diploma. Or trainee happy to enroll on college course/ online course
Strong patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy practice environment.
IT proficiency for managing patient records and scheduling systems is essential.
Previous experience in a dental setting is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is crucial.
