Trainee Digital Care Coordinator/medical Receptionist

Hours of work:



35 Hours per week

09:00am - 17:00pm - 1 hour lunch break

Salary:

In guidance with the UK national living wage for those aged 21 and over, younger workers and apprentices.

10.00 - 12.21 per hour

Annual Leave:

25 days per year + Bank Holidays

Daily Duties -



Invite identified patients to join the service, seek and obtain consent, ensuring compliance to data protection rules. Provide information and guidance to patients about virtual reality therapies Assist patient self-assessments using a patient activated questionnaire Maintain accurate, comprehensive and up to date patient records Complete remote discharge assessment forms with patients Device and delivery preparation Attend and contribute to team and clinical meetings Provide remote support to patients and courtesy calls Liaise collaboratively with both patients and colleagues Meet and greet all patients or third parties attending the surgery Answering telephone calls Processing prescriptions General Administration (scanning & filing confidential documents) Dealing with patient queries Responding to and processing emails Operation of computer systems and digital devices Communicate effectively with patients, reporting relevant information or concerns to clinical staff promptly Throughout the working day duties may interchange according to the needs of the practice and patients. Other duties may be added if required.

Essential Criteria, skills and abilities required -



GCSE English language (grade A-C or equivalent) GCSE Mathematics (grade A-C or equivalent) Excellent interpersonal skills Ensure confidentiality in all matters relating to patients, staff and information obtained in the course of employment in line with statutory legislation Flexibility Punctual and reliable Passion for working with patients and a drive to deliver the best possible care Working as part of a team and able to use own initiative Ability to cope with sensitive and challenging situations Highly organised Ability to work as part of an integrated multi-skilled team Right to work in the UK Knowledge in regards to confidentiality and data protection

Desirable Criteria -



Previous experience in a similar role (Telephone & face to face contact) - not essential Immediate start Competent with computers and other digital devices
DBS check will be required
