The Role

We are seeking a

Trainee Draughtsperson / Tekla Detailer

to join our growing design and detailing department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for engineering and design to build a long-term career in the steel fabrication industry.

Ideal Candidate

Experience / Interests:

Interest in engineering, steelwork, or construction design. Some knowledge of Tekla or technical drawing (desirable but not essential). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

Relevant technical/engineering studies or willingness to undertake training.

Attributes:

Flexible, eager to learn, and motivated to progress. A positive, "can-do" attitude. Ability to work independently using initiative, as well as part of a team. Good time management with the ability to work under pressure to meet required timescales. Liaise with contract design teams, clients and fabricators.

Additional Skills (Preferred but not essential):

Familiarity with Tekla Structures. Knowledge of steelwork or fabrication processes. Knowledge of welding & fabrication process.

Job Details

Type:

Full-time, Permanent. Based at our office in Charing, Kent.

Pay:

Competitive trainee rate (dependent on experience) with clear progression opportunities.

Full UK driving license (preferred but not essential, but must be able to reliably commute to our remote office location)
