Trainee Engineer - Automatic Gates & Barriers (2 Positions Available)

We're looking for

two motivated, practical individuals

to join our team as Trainee Engineers, working on the installation of

Automatic Gates and Barriers

. This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys hands-on work, being outdoors, and learning real engineering skills on the job.

Fife, Edinburgh, Glasgow and surrounding areas.

What We're Looking For

Experience isn't necessary -- the right personality and attitude matter most.

We're looking for someone who is:

Trustworthy, reliable, and eager to learn In possession of a

full, clean UK driving licence

Practical, with good common sense Interested in DIY, construction or engineering Friendly, polite and able to communicate confidently Able to work outdoors in all weather Physically fit and able to handle manual work Positive, flexible and willing to get stuck in

What You'll Be Doing

You'll work alongside an experienced engineer and receive full training in tasks such as:

Installing automatic and manual gates and barriers Digging post holes and carrying out groundworks Trenching and laying cabling Mixing concrete and preparing installation areas Hanging and aligning gates accurately Security fencing installation Small multi-trade works Servicing, maintenance, and fault finding (as you progress)
You'll quickly gain valuable hands-on skills and experience in a specialist trade.

About the Role

Two full-time, permanent positions available

35 hours per week

(occasional early starts/late finishes; very rare weekend work) 28 days holiday Full training provided Work across domestic, commercial and industrial sites A varied and rewarding role with real progression

Desirable (But Not Essential)

Basic electrical knowledge Experience in construction, engineering, industrial doors or gates
