Job Description

We are looking for a new Trainee Estates Officer to join our multi-disciplinary Estates team working across the open spaces, play areas and other Council owned assets in Yeovil. This trainee role will focus on play areas: inspections, repairs and installation. It will suit someone with practical skills and an attention to detail. More broadly the trainee will also work with the wider Estates team to ensure that the Town's open spaces, play areas, allotment sites and civic horticultural schemes are safe, welcoming and attractive with a strong community focus. The role is front line and will provide a point of contact for communities using the facilities. The role comes with a range of training courses to develop skills in play inspections, grounds maintenance and also specialist operations like play surface management. Along with completing the courses you will work alongside a qualified and experienced play specialist to learn the skills required.
