The Trainee Event Medical Responder will support the delivery of high-quality pre-hospital care at a variety of public events including festivals, sporting fixtures, and community gatherings. This entry-level position offers a fully supported route into event and emergency medical services, with comprehensive funded training and ongoing mentoring to help you develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence required for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to medical incidents, providing initial assessment and basic life support as required.
Support the wellbeing and safety of event attendees, staff, and participants.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including first responders, EMTs, paramedics, and nurses.
Participate fully in all mandatory training, practical assessments, and supervised clinical practice.
Maintain professional conduct and represent Marches Ambulance Service in a positive, caring, and responsible manner.
Adhere to all organisational policies including infection control, safeguarding, data protection, and health & safety.
Training Provided:
All successful candidates will complete a
fully funded Level 3 First Responder (FREC 3)
qualification, alongside additional mandatory training including:
Prevent Duty
Care Certificate
Moving and Handling of People
Mental Capacity Act & Deprivation of Liberty Safeguarding (DoLS)
Conflict Resolution
Fire Safety
Disability & Learning Awareness

Requirements:
Must be
17 years or older
on the first day of training.
Strong
English language
and
communication skills
.
Good
attention to detail
and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Availability to attend the full training course (9th-13th February 2026).
Willingness to undergo an
enhanced DBS check
(this is the only cost payable by the candidate)
