Heart Medical cover public events, providing emergency care and treatment to participants and the public as required. We are looking for staff to join our energetic team and work at a variety of events throughout Yorkshire, but mainly based at our flagship event at the ACCU Stadium in Huddersfield

Staff will work on a "as and when required" basis with the ability to work round another job and family life. We will require staff to have evening and weekend availability. Hours are allocated to your availability but there is a minimum requirement to attend at least three events per month.

As a First Responder, you will play a crucial role in emergency situations, providing immediate assistance and support to those in need. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong communication skills, a caring nature, and a passion to help those in need.

Duties:

- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide on-site assistance

- Assess the situation and prioritize actions based on the severity of injuries or conditions

- Administer first aid and perform life-saving techniques as necessary

- Coordinate with other emergency personnel, such as paramedics to ensure a cohesive response

- Communicate effectively with individuals involved in the emergency situation, providing reassurance and guidance

- Document all actions taken and observations made during the response for accurate reporting

Requirements:

- Possess strong communication skills to effectively manage emergency situations

- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions

- Ability to learn and then provide first aid and life-saving techniques

- Physical stamina and strength to handle physically demanding situations

- Access to your own transport and be able to travel to the John Smiths Stadium and our HQ in Horbury for training sessions

- Ideally have a Valid driver's license held for two years with no more than 6 Penalty Points

To apply for this role must hold FREC3 or equivalent qualified, applicants with an FAW will have to undergo a two day upskill training course. You must be on the DBS update system. If you are not on the DBS system you must provide your own valid enhanced DBS. Full uniform provided.
