This is the perfect opportunity for a driven and accomplished post-graduate looking for role that will help them develop their financial skillset, and gain valuable hands-on experience in a finance department. Alternatively, this role would suit a Finance Officer looking to develop their existing finance experience and knowledge within an exciting not-for-profit organisation.

The key responsibilities of this Trainee Finance Officer role include:

  • Taking full ownership over the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring all invoices are coded and processed correctly.
  • Assisting the Financial Controller in reconciling month-end accounts and gaining additional responsibility as your skillset grows.
  • Performing essential cashbook reconciliations on a daily basis, dealing with high value payments.
  • Playing a pivotal role at month-end by producing regular bank reconciliations, ensuring they are accurate and completed on time.
  • Aiding in the implementation of a new finance system by helping to identify improvements and streamline processes.
Based in Central London, this opportunity boasts a hybrid working pattern, allowing you to work from home two days a week. The ideal candidate will:
  • Be educated to degree level, ideally holding a degree in Finance and Accounting or similar.
  • Have an understanding of financial functions, whether this be from practical experience or theoretical knowledge from studies.
  • Ideally have a passion for the arts or have the desire to move into the not-for-profit sector.
  • Have an outgoing and hard-working demeanour and be eager to learn and take on new challenges.
