About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our fire safety team as a

Trainee Fire Door Inspector

. This is an exciting opportunity to build a career in fire safety compliance, with full training provided to become a certified fire door inspector. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, learning how to assess, report, and ensure fire doors meet legal and safety standards

Responsibilities

Assist in the inspection of fire doors in residential, commercial, and public buildings Learn to identify non-compliance issues such as damage, incorrect installation, or missing components Record findings accurately using digital reporting tools Support the preparation of inspection reports and recommendations Attend training sessions and work towards relevant certifications (e.g., FDIS, BM TRADA) Maintain high standards of professionalism and safety on-site Liaise with clients and contractors under supervision Adhere strictly to health & safety procedures.

Training & Development

Structured training plan with mentoring from certified inspectors Opportunity to gain industry-recognised qualifications Ongoing CPD (Continuing Professional Development) support Exposure to a wide range of building types and fire safety systems

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Good communication and interpersonal skills Basic understanding of construction or building maintenance Ability to work independently and as part of a team Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
