Responsibilities

Assist in overseeing daily operations of the restaurant or kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality and service. Support the management team in supervising staff, including cooks, servers, and bartenders. Participate in food preparation and culinary tasks as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen. Help coordinate staff schedules and training sessions to enhance team performance. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure efficient food production. Address customer inquiries and feedback promptly to maintain a positive dining experience. Uphold health and safety regulations within the workplace, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is advantageous. Strong supervisory skills with an ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation processes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff and customers alike. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for the hospitality industry with a willingness to learn and develop further skills in management.
