Job Description

We have a unique opportunity for someone who has recently qualified as a gas engineer to gain some valuable hands on experience, assisting one of our engineers on their day to day work.

Duties

You'll work alongside one of our experienced engineers, driving him to jobs and assisting with:

Servicing, breakdown diagnosis and repairs on domestic boilers and heating systems CP12 (Landlord Gas Safety) inspections Boiler and heating system installations
Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential settings.

Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and installation and repairs. Perform plumbing tasks related to gas systems, including pipe fitting and assembly. Execute heavy lifting tasks when required for equipment handling and installation. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and basic plumbing techniques. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations. Ability to perform assembly tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Physical capability to handle heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during work shifts. Full, clean UK driving licence ACS Domestic Gas qualified (plumbing qualifications preferred but not essential) Able to pass a DBS check Based in Birmingham (South Birmingham preferred) Excellent customer service and communication skills If you are passionate about gas engineering and meet the qualifications outlined above, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to be part of our dynamic team.
