Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a

Trainee Import/Export Customs Agent

As a trainee, you will receive comprehensive training to develop your knowledge of customs regulations, documentation requirements, and operational processes involved in the import and export of goods.

Hours:

Tuesday to Saturday, 08:00 - 17:00 (with the possibility of changing hours depending on business needs)

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and submission of customs documentation for import and export shipments Support senior team members in ensuring compliance with HMRC and international trade regulations Communicate with clients, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to coordinate shipments Maintain accurate records and filing systems Develop an understanding of tariff codes, duty, VAT, and other customs-related matters

Requirements:

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Good organisational and time-management skills Proficiency in basic IT systems (e.g., Microsoft Office) Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Previous logistics or administrative experience is an advantage but not essential
