Hamilton Robson's IT partner company is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Trainee IT Technician to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to start their career in IT or take it to the next level. We offer comprehensive training with a three-month, hands-on programme based in Belfast to ensure you are fully equipped with the latest knowledge and skills, with progression to a full IT Technician position thereafter. Responsibilities

Provide first-line IT support for customers around the world, either remotely or in person. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues, including VPN and printing. Assist in setting up and maintaining IT systems and equipment. Support the deployment of software and system updates. Participate in support for AV systems in conference rooms and provide onsite assistance for events. Manage and process assets, and prepare them for reuse or recycling. Maintain accurate documentation of issues and resolutions using ticket management systems such as JIRA Service Desk. Closing tickets. IT Support. Hardware Troubleshooting - eg VPN, Printers. Setup and maintenance of devices. Jira Servicedesk. Some travel may be required as part of this role.
Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

Educational background in STEM or computing-related subjects at A-Level, or a degree in Computing, IT, or a related field. Enthusiasm to learn and progress in IT role. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with both technical and non-technical users. Excellent organisational abilities to manage competing priorities in a high-volume task environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and technical knowledge of Mac OS, iOS, Android, and modern Windows OS. Strong customer service, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities. A full, clean driving licence.
Desirable Skills

Background in IT or servicedesk environment. Background in customer services. Experience with support ticket management systems is an advantage. Experience in an IT helpdesk or support role is welcomed but not required.
