Job Description

At Muller South Wales we are looking for a new member of staff to join our team. We are a precision engineering sub-contractor who use auto feeding lathes to mass produce numerous products.

We are seeking a trainee operator to work within our production team. As a trainee, you will learn from the ground up, creating a foundation for you to move up within the business. You will be under the supervision of our production manager and senior setter, as they show you how our unique machinery functions. You will also get insight into other areas of the business, including training in quality control that will allow you to effectively evaluate the parts produced.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, all training is provided.

We are also willing to support the correct candidate through additional college education in engineering for those interested.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Feed up the machines with new coils
- Perform daily checks on machines to ensure they are correct to the drawing
- Empty swarf and parts from the machines each morning
- Regrind and reset tooling
- Keep the machines topped up with oil
- Ensure the floors and surfaces are kept clean

Working Hours - 39 hours per week

There is weekend overtime available to those interested.

Opening Hours: 07:30 - 16:15 Mon - Thurs, 07:30 - 13:00 Fri
(1.5hrs is made up either with early starts, an evening shutoff once per week or weekend work - once adequately trained)

Breaks: 10:00 - 10:15, 12:30 - 13:15, 15:00 - 15:15 Mon - Thurs; 10:00 - 10:15 Fri

Pay - Initial probation period for 3 months at minimum wage (12.21 per hour) with a review following completion of probation.
