About The Role





untypical is offering a fantastic 3-year fixed-term training opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual looking to build a career in finance. As a Trainee Management Accountant, you will gain hands-on experience within our busy Finance team while studying towards a professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA, with full study support provided.



This role is ideal for someone looking to start a structured finance career path within the housebuilding industry and gain valuable insight into how financial decision-making supports business growth and operational success.



Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies Help with the posting of journals, accruals, and prepayments Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate financial information Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems Bank Reconciliations, preparing daily payment files Weekly management information reporting Processing invoices for contract sales and chasing cash in Expense sample and regular financial controls Support with tax processes including VAT and CIS Take on other ad-hoc duties and projects to support the wider Finance function

About You




A genuine interest in pursuing a career in accounting and finance Willingness to study towards ACCA or CIMA (or already enrolled) Strong attention to detail and numerical ability Good communication and interpersonal skills Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn new systems Organised and proactive with a positive, can-do attitude

Desirable:




Previous experience in a finance or office environment (e.g., placement year, part-time role) Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Sage, COINS, SAP, or similar) Tilia Homes and Hopkins Homes are ambitious, customer focused housebuilders that put people and the planet at the heart of everything we do.
