SafetyGrip Solutions have immediate vacancies for Trainee Manufacturing Technicians to join our team in Aberdeen. This position is workshop based where you will work within a small team to produce a range of non-slip flooring products.

Successful candidates will undertake an ongoing in-house on the job training program. This will entail working alongside trained technicians to gain knowledge and experience of all production processes which will offer a broad range of skills and abilities.

Daily Duties:

Preparation of manufacturing moulds and equipment,

Assisting the manufacturing process, this will include the handling and mixing of various fibreglass resins and polyurethane materials and other chemicals.

The use of spray painting equipment, and application of paints and specialised coatings.

Use high pressure water jetting / washing systems

Use of various industrial saws and tooling.

Handling of product around workshops, manual handling and use of forklift truck and mechanical lifting equipment.

General housekeeping of work areas / site

The position can be physically demanding at times therefore candidate must be fit and capable of physical strenuous work. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic and be comfortable working within a small team as well as occasionally working on their own.

Training will be provided, however applicants ideally should be practical minded and competent in the use of hand tools. Previous experience working within an industrial environment would be advantageous but not essential.
Note: Our site location is not regular served by public transport so driving licence / access to vehicle would be essential.

Pay: From 115.00 per day
