About the role




We've recently opened the doors to our brand new office in the heart of Morningside, and it's already busy with activity across Sales, Lettings and Financial Services. We are looking for an ambitious Trainee Mortgage and Protection Advisor to join our growing team.



This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career as an Advisor with a trusted and established brand behind you, while enjoying the energy and growth potential of a new branch. You'll be supported by experienced Advisors, receive full training, and be guided through your CMAP qualification to set you up for long-term success.

Key responsibilities




Full training and support will be provided.



Learning how to provide mortgage and protection advice, shadowing advisors and gradually taking on your own clients. Supporting the team in delivering an exceptional client experience. Developing your knowledge of mortgage and protection products, compliance requirements, and the wider housing market. Building long-term client relationships by providing excellent customer service and regular follow-up. Using our CRM system accurately and learning how to record and manage client information effectively. Actively working towards achieving CMAP qualification and becoming a fully competent Mortgage and Protection Advisor.

Key requirements




Essential



Working towards CMAP (or willing to start immediately with our support) A genuine interest in financial services and a career as a Mortgage and Protection Advisor Strong customer service or client-facing experience Excellent communication skills Great attention to detail Proficient in the use of IT systems including MS Teams, Word, Excel & Outlook

Desirable

Knowledge of the Edinburgh Southside housing market Full UK Driving Licence Prior experience of Customer Record Management (CRM) or a comparable database
