We are seeking an ambitious and motivated junior journalist to join our B2B editorial team on a full-time, hybrid basis. This role is ideally suited to a recent journalism graduate or early-career reporter looking to build strong foundations in digital B2B journalism while working across multiple established industry titles.
You will report directly to the
Online Editor
, who is responsible for story allocation and editorial direction. Daily priorities are set during morning news meetings, where stories are commissioned and deadlines agreed. The Online Editor also edits features and oversees longer-form content.
This is primarily a news-focused role, so while feature writing is not an automatic part of the position at trainee level, candidates who demonstrate strong news judgement, accuracy, reliability and initiative can expect feature-writing opportunities to be introduced into their weekly editorial commissions over time.
You will work closely with more experienced members of the editorial team, contributing to our Daily Briefings and wider editorial output. The role involves producing a high volume of online news content, conducting interviews, supporting feature production, and developing a strong understanding of professional B2B audiences and the sectors they serve.
This is a practical, hands-on role offering exposure to the full editorial process, from story generation and sourcing through to publication, audience distribution, live events and audio content.
About us
We are an established UK media company founded in the mid-1990s, publishing a portfolio of respected B2B digital media brands serving professional audiences across several industries. Our focus is on authoritative, timely journalism delivered through our websites and email newsletters.
Alongside our editorial output, we are launching our own industry conference this year. As a small and collaborative business, everyone is expected to contribute to delivering the event, giving staff at all levels hands-on exposure to the planning, promotion and on-the-day running of a major B2B conference.
We also produce two industry podcasts:
Talking Shop
, focused on the retail sector, and
Checking In
, which serves the hotel industry. Both podcasts are recorded weekly by setting up a temporary studio in the state-of-the-art meeting room complex located on the floor below our Holborn office, typically on Wednesday afternoons.
Ambitious candidates may have the opportunity to support podcast production in a number of ways, including research, guest coordination, recording support and post-recording editorial tasks. There is also scope, for the right candidate, to host episodes and conduct interviews.
Your responsibilities
Sourcing, researching and writing daily news stories across multiple B2B websites
Liaising with press offices and corporate communications teams to obtain quotes, statements and exclusive material
Researching and assisting with longer-form features across a range of industry topics

Supporting senior editorial staff with all activities leading to publication, including chasing advertorial copy and artwork where required
Handling phone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner
Proof-reading and sub-editing colleagues' copy to a high standard
Compiling and sending Daily Briefings via email distribution software
Basic SEO management, including headline writing, metadata and on-page optimisation
Supporting podcast production where appropriate
Event involvement
The editorial team plays an active role in the delivery of our live events. In the lead-up to
Hotel Owner Conference 2026
, junior editorial staff will be involved in supporting the staging of the event. This may include assisting with speaker coordination, content planning, live coverage, on-the-day operations and general event support, offering valuable exposure to the commercial and operational side of B2B media.
