Trainee Service Technician - Barricade Pest Control
Type:
Full-time role, (37.5hr week), with early start/early finish, overtime available. Option to increase contracted hours after initial training period.
Location:
Edinburgh and Lothians, occasional travel beyond this area may be required.

We are looking for a motivated trainee pest management technician to join our team. You'll receive full training to achieve your RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management, including on-site experience, online learning, and in-person courses. Some training may require travel and overnight stays outside Scotland, with all expenses covered by us.Pest management is a rewarding field for people from all walks of life--whether you have a background in customer service, are a recent school leaver, ex-military, or a science graduate. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting surveys to identify pests, the extent of the infestation, and potential entry points.
Developing and safely implementing treatment plans based on the unique needs of each site.
Communicating with clients about the pest control process, preventive measures, and maintenance to ensure a pest-free environment.
Maintaining accurate records of services provided, including the types of pests, treatment methods, and any follow-up recommendations.
Following safety protocols and regulations, ensuring the responsible use of pesticides and chemicals.
Skills and qualifications:

Ability to work independently.
Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Valid UK driver's licence
(at least 2 years experience is required for insurance purposes)
