Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Trainee Pharmacy Customer Assistant to join our team. As a Pharmacy Customer Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations and ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care in a very fast paced environment.

No prior experience required which means there is plenty of opportunities to progress.

Ideally looking for a good communicator which is vital for speaking to customers, also someone organised and can multitask.

Full dispensing training will be given, with the view of becoming a qualified pharmacy dispenser. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate who would like an opportunity to progress quickly in the pharmacy field.

The course is 12 months.

Responsibilities

Undergo a nationally recognised training program to gain the necessary qualification. Assist team members in the preparation and dispensing of medications to patients. Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations. Assist with inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and checking expiry dates of medications. Support the medication administration process by preparing dosages as directed by pharmacists. Ensure that the pharmacy area is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in pharmacy practices.

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.

Pay scale: Starting 12.21 per hour
