Trainee Pharmacy Dispenser
, working
24 hours per week across Monday, Thursday and Friday
.
This is an excellent opportunity whether you have some dispensing experience and want to become formally qualified, or you're new to pharmacy but confident you can learn quickly. We'll provide comprehensive training and full support to achieve your
NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services qualification
- you don't need pharmacy qualifications to apply, just the right attitude and commitment to learn.
What You'll Be Learning
Accurate dispensing of prescriptions under close supervision of experienced pharmacy professionals
Patient interaction skills and providing advice within your competence level
Safe sale of over-the-counter medicines and retail products
Stock management and pharmacy operations
Quality and safety procedures including near miss reporting
Professional and legal requirements for pharmacy practice
Using pharmacy computer systems and maintaining accurate records
All aspects of working as a qualified Pharmacy Dispenser
Plus, you'll complete your NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services qualification with dedicated study time, mentoring support, and access to all training materials.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above
Excellent customer service skills and friendly, professional manner
Strong attention to detail and methodical approach
Commitment to completing NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services qualification
Willingness to learn and genuine enthusiasm for pharmacy
Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
Team player with positive attitude
Basic IT skills
Availability to work Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays
Desirable (but not essential):
Any experience in a pharmacy setting (as dispenser, counter assistant, or healthcare assistant)
Previous healthcare or retail experience
Experience handling cash/payments
Medicines Counter Assistant qualification or willingness to complete

24 hours per week across three days (8:30am to 5:30pm):
