Duties

Accurately dispense medications in accordance with prescriptions and established protocols. Assist in the preparation and packaging of medications, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Provide information to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on pharmacy practices.

Experience

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is highly desirable. Familiarity with medication administration processes and patient care principles is essential. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are required to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for interacting with patients and team members.
