Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, assisting with patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and managing prescriptions accurately and efficiently Provide medication information to patients under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist Support patient care activities, including answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage Maintain accurate records of medication inventory, expiry dates, and storage conditions Ensure compliance with all legal and safety regulations related to pharmacy operations Process insurance claims and handle administrative tasks related to prescriptions Support the organisation of pharmacy stock levels and restocking as needed Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment

Requirements

Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician or similar role within a healthcare setting Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care protocols Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment Certification or registration as a Pharmacy Technician is desirable but not mandatory for all jurisdictions A compassionate approach to patient care and confidentiality is essential Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the pharmacy setting
