We are a leading manufacturer of Water Treatment Systems with a commitment to delivering high-quality products on time, every time. We're now looking to expand our planning team by welcoming a Trainee Planner into this newly created role, an excellent opportunity for a school leaver looking to start their career in manufacturing and supply chain.
The Role
As a Trainee Planner, you will be trained to support the planning and scheduling function within our business. Working directly with the Operations Manager, you will gain hands-on experience in production scheduling, inventory management, and ERP systems (SAP). This is a trainee position with full training provided.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing and maintaining production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
Collaborate with purchasing, production, and logistics to optimise supply chain processes.
Monitor stock levels and help manage inventory to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Use ERP System to input data, run reports, and track performance metrics.
Take part in demand forecasting to align production with customer and market requirements.
Analyse data trends and prepare insights to support continuous improvement projects.
Maintain accurate planning documentation and records.
Must Have's
Organised and methodical with strong analytical skills.
Keen attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Eager to learn and develop new skills.
Good communication skills and able to work well in a team.
Highly skilled at using Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn new systems.
Embodies continuous improvement and right first time culture.
Scottish Highers
(minimum) in a relevant subject
Desirable
HNC
or
HND
in relevant subject would be advantageous
Previous experience in business environment, particularly in a manufacturing setting
