Trainee Traffic (Transport) Planner

Due to continued growth, we are growing our traffic team. We are looking for two enthusiastic trainees that want to become full time transport planners. You can become a valued member of our traffic team by listening, working hard and being proactive. You need to be confident in a busy team environment.

This is the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced modern traffic office, with an established customer base that includes the UKs leading producers of timber, precast concrete and biodiesel.

Job description

Assisting senior traffic planners by helping them with day to day admin, such as inputting customer loads to our invoicing system and answering the phones. As you complete the daily administrative duties you will learn to efficiently plan a fleet of vehicles collecting and delivering goods across the UK, 5 days a week. This job is for someone that wants a long-term career in transporting planning. The successful candidate will have a positive proactive attitude.

Assisting senior traffic planners Completing daily administrative duties Supporting our customers and drivers Solving customer, vehicle and driver challenges Navigating and understanding the fleet telematic system Communicating positively with customers and drivers Planning drivers and vehicles efficiently, adapting to varying levels of customer demand
This is a Monday to Friday fulltime position based at our Lockerbie office working from 8am to 5:15pm.
