About the role
As a Trainee Procurement Officer, you'll join a supportive team that's committed to your growth, development, and success. You'll play a key role in supporting procurement activities that help deliver high-quality services to our communities working alongside experienced procurement professionals while gaining hands-on experience.
As part of your role, you will:
Learn how to manage procurement processes in line with public sector regulations.
Support colleagues in drafting tender documents, evaluations, and contracts.
Engage with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure value for money.
Assist in the delivery of procurement activity across Publica partners, including tenders, commissioning projects and savings delivery.
Gain exposure to exciting procurement projects and real-world decision-making.
Assist with compiling statistical data and returns for internal use, benchmarking, or external reporting to Government departments or regulators.
This role is designed to give you practical experience and build your confidence in procurement and supply chain management.
Please note that the salary for this role will be offered depending on the qualifications and experience held by the successful candidate.
You will need
Currently studying or willing to study for Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) levels 4 to level 6
GCSEs (5 A-Cs or equivalent, including Maths and English)
A level or NVQ3 qualification or 2 years' experience in a procurement or finance role
A keen interest in public sector procurement or business.
Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
Good attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude.

Full UK Driving License
Ability to travel/ access to a vehicle for work purposes
