We are seeking to recruit a small number of Trainee Production Operatives, to support ongoing business growth and investment at the Saica Warrenpoint plant. Saica Pack develop corrugated packaging solutions with production facilities in Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, Turkey, Ireland, U.K. and United States of America.

The roles are located within our plant in Warrenpoint which is high volume and fast paced environment.

As part of a flexible team, you will need to demonstrate excellent team working skills and innovative problem solving skills to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing process. Safety is a top priority for SAICA and you will be required to work in a safety first manner at all times.

Key Duties and Responsibilities.

To work as part of a team producing high quality packaging in line with customer order specifications. To comply and operate within the Health and Safety at Work regulations by maintaining own personal safety and that of other team members To contribute to the overall profitability of the site by minimising waste and machine downtime. To maintain a high level of housekeeping within the plant to increase productivity and minimise accidents. To participate in on going continuous improvement projects. Quality checking products The role involves manual handling and moving of equipment or materials. Training and equipment are provided to ensure tasks can be carried out safely by all team members.

Essential Criteria

Ability to work to exact standards with good attention to detail. Ability to work the following shift pattern is essential - Dayshift/Backshift/Nightshift

Previous experience of working within a comparable role Knowledge of basic computer skills
