Llanarth Court Hospital is a large forensic mental health hospital providing a secure environment consisiting of medium, low and bespoke rehabilitation settings for men and women with mental illness and or personality disorder. The wards provide a homely environment promoting independence, whilst employing an experienced mutli-disciplinary team to oversee and support patient progress. We have a range of impressive therapy spaces throughout the hospital.

We are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate full time Trainee Forensic Psychologist to work in a busy Psychology Department at Llanarth Court Hospital.



There will be an opportunity to work with Clinical, Forensic and Counselling Psychologists undertaking both assessment and intervention work. There will be opportunities to develop skills across low secure, medium secure and rehabilitation services. The client groups will be include males and females with forensic histories who present with mental health and personality difficulties. The role will also include delivering training, reflective practice, audits and research and consultancy work.



The successful applicant will be self-driven and hard working with a creative and compassionate approach.



You will be working as part of a large psychology team and with other Multi-Disciplinary team members and therefore must be a good team player. To apply applicants must have an MSc in Forensic Psychology. Additional experience in a forensic setting would be preferable. The post is contingent on successful application to the HCPC/BPS course and trainees will be responsible for payment of their own fees.
