The Role - Trainee Sales & Account Manager
This role is designed for people who want to build a
career in event sales
, but don't necessarily have formal sales experience yet.
For over 15 years, we've successfully trained Account Managers from school, university, and early-career backgrounds. Many have progressed into Senior Sales roles within Chillisauce, earning strong commissions and developing valuable commercial skills.
You'll start in a
Customer Service Executive
role, gaining a deep understanding of our products, systems, customers, and processes. This foundation sets you up to move confidently into sales, where you'll be trained to manage enquiries, build tailored event packages, and close bookings over the phone.
First Six Months - Customer Service Executive
Your first phase focuses on learning how events are delivered and how customers are supported once they've booked.
You'll be responsible for:
Managing your own portfolio of customer bookings
Confirming accommodation, activities, transport, and nightlife with suppliers
Ensuring bookings are accurate and delivered without issues
Handling customer queries via phone, email, and internal systems
Checking invoices, running reports, and maintaining booking accuracy
You'll receive structured training before taking ownership of customers, allowing you to quickly build confidence with our bespoke CRM, suppliers, and communication style.
This role develops the attention to detail, organisation, and customer understanding essential for success in sales.
Months 6-9 - Sales Training & Transition
Once you've built strong product knowledge and customer confidence, you'll begin
part-time sales training
alongside your Customer Service role.
Training is led by our Head of Sales and focuses on:
Our proven sales structure and consultative selling approach
Asking effective questions to uncover customer needs
Creating tailored group event packages
Handling objections and confidently closing sales
Learning how to maximise value while delivering great customer outcomes
Training combines classroom learning, role plays, live call listening, and detailed feedback from senior sales colleagues.
When you demonstrate competence, you'll gradually be given your own sales enquiries to manage.
The goal is for you to transition into a
full-time Sales Account Manager role within three months of starting sales training
.
Sales Account Manager - Career & Earnings
As a Sales Account Manager, you'll:
Manage inbound enquiries from customers planning group events
Build and sell bespoke event packages
Develop strong customer relationships
Consistently work towards and exceed sales targets
Earnings:
40k-45k OTE
, with
60k+ achievable
for top performers
There is clear progression to
Senior Sales Account Manager
for high achievers.
The Teams
Customer Service Team
A supportive team of 8 people responsible for event delivery and administration. They ensure every detail is correct and every customer feels looked after.
Sales Team
A team of 15 driven, positive people who thrive on targets, commission, and results. They're ambitious, competitive, and supportive -- and play a key role in the company's growth.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for motivated people with the potential to succeed in sales.
You'll need:
A-levels or a degree, with GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above
Confident verbal and written communication skills
A persuasive, adaptable communication style
A genuine interest in understanding customer needs
The ability to learn and retain detailed product knowledge quickly
Strong organisation and time-management skills
Confidence with numbers and basic commercial calculations
A proactive, solution-focused mindset
A strong work ethic and desire to build a sales career
Previous sales experience is
not required

24k per annum
during the first nine months as a Customer Service Executive
40k-45k OTE
upon transition into Sales
60k+
