Trainee Sales Estate Agent (2 Year Programme)

Job Description

Role Purpose



To support the residential sales team in delivering exceptional service to buyers and sellers while undertaking structured training and qualifications. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in estate agency and develop the skills required for a long-term career in property sales.

Key Duties & Responsibilities



Client Interaction- Conduct property viewings and provide feedback to vendors. Build rapport with buyers and sellers.

Sales Administration- Prepare offer letters, complete AML checks, and manage file progression. Maintain accurate records and CRM updates.

Lead Generation- Identify opportunities, book valuations and earn commission for successful conversions.

Communication and Coordination- Liaise with solicitors, mortgage brokers and other stakeholders to support smooth transactions.

Marketing Support- Assist with property listings. social media content and promotional campaigns.

Compliance- Follow procedures for data protection, anti money laundering and industry regulations.

Skills & Attributes Required



Full UK Driving Licence & Own Car



Essential for conducting viewings and property visits.

Client-Facing Experience



Confidence and professionalism in dealing with the public.

Strong Communication Skills



Clear, persuasive, and empathetic communication with clients and colleagues.

Attention to Detail



Accuracy in documentation and compliance processes.

Positive Attitude & Willingness to Learn



Enthusiasm for growth and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Tech Literacy



Familiarity with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital tools.

Training & Development Pathway



Level 3 Apprenticeship in Property Services



Industry-recognised qualification covering core estate agency skills.

Completed within 2 years

CELA (Certificate in Estate and Letting Agency)



Professional certification focused on legal and operational knowledge.

Completed within 12-18 months

On-the-Job Mentoring



Regular shadowing and coaching from experienced agents.

Ongoing

Performance Reviews



Structured feedback and goal-setting sessions.

Every 3 months

Career Development Planning



Support in identifying future roles and progression opportunities.

Final 6 months of programme

Upon successful completion of the programme, the trainee may be considered for:

Permanent Sales Negotiator role Valuer training pathway Further development toward management roles

Pay: 7.50-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
