Starting at 26,793 + paid overtime (negotiable depending on experience)

ACS (Analytical Construction Services) offers quality material testing and consultancy services predominantly aimed at the building, construction and civil engineering industries. Over the past 35 years, ACS have steadily expanded and developed, now providing a comprehensive range of UKAS accredited sampling, site testing and laboratory testing. Our seamless all-in-one service includes physical and chemical laboratory testing, site investigation and testing, and geoscience and materials management consultancy.

ACS are currently looking for a Site Technician to join our friendly, expanding company. Whilst this role is predominantly site based, some testing will be carried out in our UKAS accredited Physical Properties laboratory. This position is based at our satellite laboratory in Wick Bristol.

The ideal candidate will be confident, outgoing and enthusiastic. They will have excellent communication skills and will be able to work alone and as part of a small team, liaising with ACS staff, clients and subcontractors confidently and professionally.

A full driving licence is required for this role. This position may also include weekend work and night work where required.

Responsibilities:

Carrying out sampling and testing on various construction materials in line with British and European standards both on site and in the laboratory; Traveling to and from different sites across Southern England; Maintaining strict Quality and Health and Safety requirements; Liaising with clients, sub-contractors (where appropriate) and other ACS staff; Undertaking various in situ tests and present findings in a professional manner; Ensuring equipment and vehicle is well maintained, calibrated and in good working order.

Job Requirements:

Full driving licence; Computer literate to facilitate the input of data to our system via tablet or PC; Minimum GCSE English and Maths or similar related qualifications; Previous experience in a similar role (whether in a construction related or academic environment) is advantageous but not essential; A valid CSCS card is advantageous for this role, but full training will be provided.
