We are looking for an ambitious individualto join Talbots as a Trainee Solicitor specialising in Criminal Law. To be successful for this position, you will need at least 6 months experience with a criminal legal department.
As a Trainee Solicitor, you will be expected to undertake criminal litigation work on behalf of private and commercial clients, on a full range of Criminal Law matters.

What the job involves;
Drafting, reviewing, amending and issuing legal documents with a commercial mindset.
Support colleagues within the department, liaising with existing and new clients, working efficiently, effectively and professionally.
Administrating client matters using SOS case management system such as file opening procedures, document preparation and formatting.
Ensuring compliance with SRA, Lexcel, Law Society Quality Scheme standards, SARs and accounting requirements.
What you need:
Working towards qualifying as a solicitor, either the LPC or SQE pathway with at least 6 months experience with a fast-paced criminal department.
Able to demonstrate practical knowledge of the Criminal Law transaction process, from inception to completion.
Passionate about delivering excellent client service, maintaining and developing business relationships.
Competent in using a case management system such as SOS and MS Office applications to undertake a range of administrative duties in a paper-light working environment.
