Who Should Apply?
We welcome applications from both law and non-law graduates (who have completed a conversion course) looking to start their Training Contract in March 2026 or September 2026. You'll need to have completed or be finishing your LPC or SQE in the next 6 months.

  • Grades: Ideally 120 UCAS points (BBB at A Level) and a 2:1 degree.
We'll also consider 2:2s with relevant legal experience (e.g., paralegal work). * Mindset: Client-focused, collaborative, commercially aware, and passionate about a career in law.
What to Expect:
The training contract last two years and during this time you will get the opportunity to rotate through a variety of practice areas, most commonly including:
  • Corporate & Commercial
  • Real Estate
  • Family
  • Litigation (Commercial & Property)
  • Succession & Tax
You can expect to work in at least two of our offices and with clients from sectors like agriculture, finance, healthcare, retail, and private client. Our one firm approach ensures that, regardless of location, you'll be part of a unified culture and have access to consistent opportunities across our sectors and client work.
You won't just be learning about law - you'll help shape life at Thrings. Our trainees are involved in social events, community work, and networking, all while growing their skills through our Thrings Academy.
