Job Description

GS Hydro UK Ltd are actively seeking a Trainee Stores Person to join our busy team based full time in the Bridge of Don office.

Purpose of the role:

The Stores Area of the Warehouse is a key area within the organisation and the role of the Store person is crucial to the ongoing success of the business. The store person is responsible for the accurate booking in and out of all stock items and final inspection prior to despatch.

Key Areas of Responsibility



To receive in all goods delivered to the company. To carry out inspection of all goods received, checking for damage to quantity of and quality of items received. To enter all goods received on to the computer system and correlating the items received to the purchase order to ensure our order requirements are fulfilled. To keep control of all stock parts and to maintain accurate quantities. To maintain quality, batch control and traceability of all parts and to ensure the department operates to the quality manual. To issue stock parts to the workshop as required and to update the system accordingly to assist with regular stock checks. To accurately pick stock items in accordance with the outgoing paperwork ensuring conformance to the customer's requirements. To adequately package all orders for safe delivery to the customer. To follow and comply with all safety rules and regulations in accordance with the organisation's Safety Manual System, at all times. To ensure that all tasks carried out are as per supervisor's written and verbal instructions. To carry out all work to client and in house specification. To ensure that all tasks carried out meet company QMS procedures. To be fully aware of component compatibility and competent in the use and knowledge of our products. To be familiar with all our supplied fittings and their use. To advise and train, trainees / adhoc labour when and if required to do so by Stores Supervisor. To work off site as and when required. To be aware of environmental issues associated with workshop procedures. To ensure that work areas are maintained clean and hazard free at all times. To report any safety defects to workshop supervisor immediately. To actively contribute to the overall team activities and promote good working practices. To comply with GS Hydro UK Ltd personnel procedures at all times. To be flexible in providing cover for other areas within the workshop as and when required, especially to cover absence or holidays. To commit to continuous improvement and development. To work overtime if requested to ensure our organisation or client deadlines are met.

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
