The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive

Trainee Support Maintenance Engineer

to join our growing Service Team. This field-based role involves supporting the maintenance, repair, and servicing of UNTHA shredding equipment at customer sites throughout the UK. Ideally you will live within 45 minutes drive of Boroughbridge or Scunthorpe to work at both sites and be happy to work throughout the UK.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting in servicing and maintaining UNTHA shredders at customer sites across the UK and at our sites in Boroughbridge and Scunthorpe. Learning to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults under supervision Supporting equipment installations and commissioning Attending training sessions to build your technical knowledge Gaining experience in health and safety procedures and customer service Complete service documentation and reports accurately and promptly

Key Requirements:

A basic understanding/interest of mechanical systems Practical, hands-on attitude with good problem-solving skills Willingness to travel across the UK and work on-site at customer locations Full UK driving licence Be happy to stay away from home some nights Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong desire to progress
