What you'll be doing:
Remote Technical Support
Provide first-line technical support for advanced diagnostic instruments
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and software-related issues
Guide customers on safe, correct and efficient equipment use
Escalate complex issues to Field Engineers or Technical Specialists
Service & Performance
Use instrument data to proactively prevent downtime
Prioritise and manage service calls effectively
Work to KPIs including First Time Fix, response times and customer satisfaction
Customer & Team Collaboration
Build trusted relationships with laboratory staff and internal teams
Keep customers updated on progress and next steps
Identify recurring issues, improvements and potential upgrades
Administration & Compliance
Accurately log service activity in MS Dynamics
Maintain service histories and troubleshooting documentation
Work in line with IVDR, ISO and cybersecurity standards
Contribute to continuous improvement and shared team learning
What we're looking for:
Essential:
City & Guilds / BTEC Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Biomedical Engineering.
Around 2 years' experience in technical support, service or a hands-on engineering role
Strong problem-solving skills with electromechanical and IT systems
Clear communicator who enjoys helping customers and working to targets
Desirable (but not essential):
HNC/HND in a related engineering discipline
Experience training customers or using MS Dynamics
