We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Trainee Technician to join our team in Bristol.
The successful candidate will work within our workshop alongside our talented team of Technician's to manufacture, repair and maintain medical devices for prosthetics and orthotics that are issued within the department to patients. The successful candidate will continuously seek opportunities to enhance their skills, introduce improvements and contribute creative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacture, repair, and maintain prosthetic and orthotic devices to the highest standards, ensuring every product supports patient mobility and comfort.
Follow clinician prescriptions and guidelines meticulously, ensuring each device meets individual patient needs.
Adhere to all quality assurance procedures and regulations and health and safety standards.
Ensure accurate stock booking out and usage and promptly report any issues to the appropriate team members.
Handle all patient information with the utmost discretion and in line with established procedures.
Work closely with colleagues and the Workshop Manager to uphold and elevate workshop standards.
Skills and Experience:
Demonstrates a strong 'can-do' mindset, approaching challenges with enthusiasm and determination.
Clear, confident communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to build positive working relationships.
Maintains a high level of accuracy and precision in all tasks.
Possesses a solid grasp of device functionality and an eagerness to expand technical knowledge.
Think critically and creatively to identify and implement effective solutions.
Strong practical ability and fine motor skills suitable for hands-on technical work.
Qualifications:
No formal qualifications are required to be successful in this role, however any qualification relating to manufacturing or engineering will be advantageous.
