Trainee Terminal Controller

to work at our

Northampton Gateway Rail Freight Terminal

depot.

This role will have two shift patterns, AM and PM.

The role:

Face to face dealings with drivers, booking both loaded and empty units in and out of the terminal Adding both train arrivals and departures to the system Dealing with yard operations over a 2-way radio Dealing with customers both on the telephone and by email Chasing down units to rail to maximise the train capacity, ensuring no wagons go out empty. Administrative duties - checks carried out to try and capture any mistakes that may have occurred and correcting these before any credit notes are required. Liaising with our transport team

IT literate - confident using computers as it's an office based role Confident communicator - spoken and written Hard working Highly organised Team player
