Job Summary


We are seeking a motivated Trainee Welder to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop welding skills and gain hands-on experience in fabrication, construction, and industrial environments. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, safety-conscious, and possess a basic understanding of mechanical concepts and tools. This role is fundamental in supporting our projects that involve sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and structural components, adhering to industry standards and blueprints.

Duties



Assist experienced welders with MIG, TIG, FCAW, and welding tasks across various projects Prepare materials by measuring with calipers and micrometers, and setting up fabrication equipment Operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely Support rigging, pipe threading, machining, soldering, and assembly processes as directed Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards Follow all safety protocols related to construction sites, welding operations, and manufacturing environments

Requirements



Basic knowledge of construction site safety practices; prior construction site experience is a plus Experience with hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes including sheet metal work and ductwork Ability to operate or learn to operate machinery such as press brake machines or plasma cutters Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving skills in a manufacturing or construction environment Ability to work safely around cranes, forklifts, rigging equipment, and other heavy machinery
This position provides a valuable pathway into the welding trade with hands-on training in a dynamic industrial setting. Candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm for learning new skills while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
