We are a railway training provider based in Doncaster.
We are looking for a motivated, bright individual who will join the team as a business administrator, progression and professional development will be available
The role will require you to learn and implement existing procedures within the business.
You will be based at our Doncaster office, working hours will be 9am until 4.30pm.
We have a Gym a 1 minute walk from the office and membership is provided as part of the package.
Post Responsibilities
1. Carry out training administrative duties. This will include answering the telephone, photocopying, and filing, typing of documents, sorting, and distributing incoming e-mails, organising trainer's requirements and course administration processes.
2. Provide information on initial client enquiry, ensuring that the relevant documentation is completed and processed.
3. Arrange off site accommodation as required, including ordering of equipment, track visits and track protection.
4. Complete and maintain course results process for both Permanent Way and Track Safety, including Sentinel notification. Ensure results archive is maintained.
5. Prepare training rooms and training sites and any necessary course documentation and equipment. Ensure training rooms and delegate lounge are always kept tidy and vending facilities maintained.
6. Order stationery and office supplies.
7. Ensuring that the company procedures are adhered to and that the purchase order database is maintained.
8. Undertake Sentinel Co-Ordinator responsibilities.
9. Maintain awareness of client and statutory rail training requirements.
10. Comply with both RTAS and Sentinel Scheme Rules for provision of Sponsored staff and Track Safety Training and Assessment.
11. Adhere to NWR Company and Line Standards and RSSB Railway Group Standards.
12. Maintain effective cost control within the scope of your responsibilities.
13. Meet with client, business, and statutory objectives.
14. Actively promote the equality, diversity & inclusion policy.
15. Ensure full compliance with Sentinel/NSAR Scheme Rules and NWR, RSSB Standards and that all the appropriate documentation is used to record the communication, administration and results of training and assessment events.
16. Arrange and ensure all sponsorship packs are completed accurately and concisely.
17. Ensure all the necessary recruitment and selection checks are made and recorded.
18. Ensure all Sentinel sponsorship records are updated/maintained.
19. Ensure all records are available for audit and verification.
20. Arrange medicals and A&D's
21. Liaise with Sentinel on matters around sponsorship.
22. Act as the Sentinel Coordinator for all training events as appropriate.
23. Maintain up to date IT records of all training and assessment interventions.
24. Maintain all hardcopy records for audit purposes of all training and assessment interventions.
25. Control the issue of physical resources for training events such as PPE, Plant, Tools, and Track Safety Equipment.
26. Ensure the timeous issue of all training course certification.
Rail and process specific induction and training will be provided.
