Location

Any Acas Office with an element of working from home. Regular travel to London will be required. Please be aware that this role can only be worked in Great Britain and not overseas. You will be asked to express a location preference during the application process. Informal hybrid arrangements are available and the balance between home and workplace working is to be agreed with the line manager to achieve the right balance between collaboration, in-person engagement and flexibility.

Job summary


The Training Delivery Team members are supportive and share knowledge, skills and advice amongst each other - which is a real team strength.In this role you will be part of a Training Delivery Team, with a focus on delivering high quality training events (both online and in-person) - at workplace locations and on our open-access courses - covering employment law, good practice, and good line management skills. It also involves business development work - following up of leads and dealing with online, helpline and Customer Service Team referrals to generate interest in our products and services. There is a strong emphasis on building customer relations.

Job description


Candidates will be offered a role based on merit.
  • Accountable for delivering - either digitally (using platforms such as Zoom and Teams) or at various locations in the region - Acas open access courses, workplace training, chargeable and non-chargeable talks, and Acas Webinars.
  • To contribute to the wider Acas mission of improving employment relations by identifying opportunities (including networking), to raise awareness of Acas, and promote other Acas services where appropriate
  • To self-manage effectively, including time, work priorities and administrative tasks - contributing to the overall strategy and planning of the Training Delivery Team
  • Responding to referrals within the SLA timeframe
  • Support in suggesting and creating training content material, in collaboration with the Product Development Team
  • Ensuring that all contractual paperwork is completed for all chargeable work activity
  • Systems Records - accountable for ensuring all relevant systems are updated with accurate data in a timely manner
  • Supporting the wider Training Delivery Team by ensuring delegate feedback is captured appropriately
  • Identifying potential case study opportunities (in line with GDPR) to support internal learning, good practice sharing, continuous improvement, and marketing opportunities

Experience Essential criteria:

  • Seeking out and sharing experiences to develop knowledge of the team\xe2\x80\x99s business area
  • Identifying capability gaps for self and/or others
  • Ensuring colleagues and/or stakeholders have a clear understanding of objectives, activities, and timeframes
  • Involving a diverse range of colleagues and/or delivery partners (within and/or external to your immediate team/area of work) in developing suggestions for improvements.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Competent with using Zoom and Microsoft PowerPoint

Interview Details If you have successfully passed sift, you will be invited to an interview via MS Teams or Zoom which is likely to take place on week commencing 11 December 2023. The interview will be based on Experience and you will be required to deliver a 20-minute presentation. Details of the presentation subject will be given at interview stage. A reserve list will be created for this position, this means that if you have passed the interview, but we couldn\xe2\x80\x99t offer you this position, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be on a reserve list for 12 months if a similar position becomes available.
