Background



The Stambridge Group Training & Development department is undergoing strengthening to ensure that it continues to meet the future needs and priorities of this expanding company.

The Training & Development Manager will sit within the Commercial and Core Directorate providing a lead to the training team in the process of evolving, from scoping, administration through to successful delivery.

All activity should be sustainable and consistent. The impact of training and development on the Stambridge Group should be understood and managed appropriately.

You will be used to working in a fast-paced environment and meeting the highest standards alongside hardworking individuals. You will be working within the heart of the organisation and should be able to relate to a diverse range of people.

Above all, you should be passionate to use your initiative, self-motivation, the use of strong written and verbal communication with effective planning and organisational skills to support and motivate all staff.

JOB PURPOSE



A Training and Development Manager designs, implements, and evaluates employee training programs to enhance skills, boost morale and productivity, and align with business objectives.

Key duties include conducting needs analysis, developing customised training materials and programs, managing budgets, coordinating training delivery, and monitoring program effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics.

The role requires strong strategic thinking, excellent communication, and collaboration with all staff to ensure training initiatives support overall and personal growth. The post holder will take an active role in identifying staff development for both internal and external skill growth.

The post holder will ensure everyone is trained up as required and can do their job effectively, helping employees learn new skills and develop existing ones.

As well as helping to design and develop new schemes, you will also work with employers to establish their company's needs.

Key responsibilities/Duties



Needs Analysis

:

To Identify training needs through appraisal schemes, job analysis, KPI's and consultation with individuals and managers to understand specific skill gaps and development goals.

Program Design & Development

:

Create and expand training programs, materials, and induction programs for new hires, utilising face-to-face, digital, and blended learning options.

Budget Management

:

Develop and manage training budgets to ensure programs are cost-effective and within financial constraints.

Training Delivery

: Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and online learning opportunities, either personally or by working with subject matter experts.

Mentoring and coaching:

Oversee and, in some cases, implement coaching, mentoring, and other development initiatives. Advise managers on employee career development and individual learning plans.

Evaluation & Reporting

: Monitor training programme effectiveness using feedback, surveys, and performance reviews to gather data and prepare reports on usage, engagement, and impact.

Talent Development

: Identify high-potential employees to be mentored and devise learning plans to cultivate their skills and prepare them for future leadership roles.

Continuous Improvement

: Stay updated on the latest training trends and technologies, and adapt programs as needed to reflect changes in the workplace. Diarise KPI performance and appraisals to ensure a constant training review and development.

Reporting & Analysis:



Collate and analyse data to support forecasting and budgeting.

Generate various reports for the Board.

Requirements:



Ability to lead a training team and manage training gaps effectively Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively convey information and engage with trainees and stakeholders. Excellent IT skills proficient with full windows package Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team Ability to influence, direct and motivate staff Strong ability to multi-task, prioritise workload and deliver under pressure Attention to detail with ability to maintain accurate records Self-motivate and passionate to motivate and deliver Willingness to travel to staff locations Willingness and ability to adjust training programs and strategies to meet evolving business needs
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
